Duties Description Park and Rec Aide 4 (intern) is a full-time, seasonal position that assists in maintaining special gardens and collections at the arboretum.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Planting, pruning, mulching, watering, and weeding plant beds
• Installation of indoor and outdoor horticultural displays
• Special garden renovations
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
Preferred qualifications:
Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess strong organizational and critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently or on a team.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time outside and lift up to 50 lbs.
