Job Specifics

Duties Description We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to assist with our Communications Office!

The intern will:
•Support our social media team in planning, developing and executing marketing initiatives.
•Conduct research on industry trends, audience engagement, and best practices in digital marketing.
•Support the planning/execution of social media campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
•Monitor and analyze social media metrics, providing insights to improve engagement.
Learning objectives:
•Gain real-world experience in government marketing and communications.
•Build a professional portfolio with diverse projects.
•Network with experienced communications professionals

Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a student currently enrolled in upcoming/current college courses.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience with all social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Interest in government, labor policy, or public service is preferred.
